The
Cymcast System was developed to
address the need to distribute digital information to an unlimited
number of users within a confined geographical area with a single transmitter.
The concept is simple, actually. In today’s world of computers,
television, cell phones, and the Internet, it has become obvious that
people thrive on the ability to have current, relevant information available
on-demand, whenever and wherever they might be. Broadcast television can
provide this type of video information to an unlimited number of individuals
within a certain market. Radio can provide this type of audio information
to the same market in the same way, but there is no equivalent type of
broadcast system for digital information. This is the niche market that
the Cymcast system addresses.
The
Cymcast system, with its line of
Personal Data Receivers (PDRs)
and low cost transmitters, has been developed to allow for the localized
broadcast of digital data to an unlimited number of users. The system
can be configured to cover from several hundred feet to several miles,
making it useful at many different types of venues.
