In addition to being useful at Cymcast venues, the new CymcastPDR also has features that make it useful anywhere as a personal entertainment device. It comes complete with a 3½ inch, transflective display so as to be easily viewable outdoors. It is available with an FM stereo receiver, and can also store and play MP3 audio files in full fidelity stereo. Equipped with a standard 3.5mm phone jack it is compatible with many of the MP3 accessories available for use with home and auto entertainment systems.             A unique feature of the CymcastPDR is its ability to record any of the audio coming in from the FM receiver or the optional UHF scanner. This audio can be recorded and stored onboard as standard MP3 or WAV files, and can then be downloaded later to a PC for archiving. With up to 4GB of internal memory, there is ample room for audio/data storage.

Cymcast, Inc. is proud to introduce the newest in our line of Personal Data Receivers, the CymcastPDR. This small handheld receiver is the result of five years of research and development in wireless data technology, and has features that are optimized for use as a personal entertainment / information system. Designed to be useful at venues that utilize the Cymcast system, it is capable of using the features of the new Cymcast broadcast, including twice the display memory of earlier receivers, as well as the ability to display the information over graphical backgrounds. A standard USB port is included for recharging the Lithium-Ion battery, as well as providing an interface for a personal computer. Using this port, special event graphics can be uploaded, stored data files can be downloaded, and it can even be used to view the Cymcast data on a PC in real time like the current CymcastUSB receiver. This port can also be used to upload standard MP3 files from a PC into the PDR, for use at anytime as a personal entertainment device. Should the user desire even more data storage capability, the CymcastPDR also comes with a standard Secure Digital (SD) memory card slot. Using this, and the new SDHC format cards, an additional 32GB of onboard data storage is possible, and once again, this data is downloadable through the onboard USB interface.
